Architectural products inspired by design

Building and Construction Review is proud to feature Zoo Hardware for our Product Innovation profile, due to the company’s steadfast dedication to producing only the highest quality products at the most competitive prices on the market.

Founded by Robin Graham in 2010, Zoo Hardware is based in Carlisle, Cumbria, and has grown from having six to over 40 employees in the last nine years. In 2018, Tyman Group’s UK division, ERA, acquired Zoo Hardware and Robin became a non-executive director at ERA.

As a designer and supplier of architectural door hardware, Zoo Hardware offers door handles, knobs, locks, cylinders, door closers, hinges, and much more. All of these are produced to the finest quality in aluminium, brass, steel and zinc, never compromising on quality for cheaper prices.
Zoo Hardware’s expert in-house design team is fully qualified in all aspects of design and production, aiming to supply innovative, stylish and cost-effective hardware solutions to architectural ironmonger merchants, who supply these products to premises in the UK and worldwide.

With advanced design facilities at its Head Office, Zoo Hardware can create, manufacture and deliver state-of-the-art products, which are constantly updated to fit with current design trends and to ensure the company remains ahead of the competition. These product ranges cover all aspects of architectural ironmongery, and Zoo Hardware never settles for anything less than top quality.

One such range is Rosso Maniglie, an exclusive range of Italian inspired designer levers, produced using a zinc base material and manufactured to excellent standards. This outstanding range takes designer levers to the next level, featuring contemporary aesthetic appeal. Indeed, it has quickly become the first choice for homeowners, architects and housebuilders in the UK and Zoo Hardware is now expanding its successful lever on round rose by introducing new lever designs. These include the all new square rose as well as standard and narrow backplates, additions which will allow any project to be furnished throughout using one complete range.

Another of Zoo Hardware’s notable ranges is Fulton & Bray, a range of door and window furniture in an array of styles and finishes, making it ideal for both period and contemporary properties. Whether you are looking for the perfect fittings to complement a renovation project, or whether you are in need of classic accessories to finish a masterpiece, the Fulton & Bray range is guaranteed to more than satisfy your needs.

Produced with traditional and classic designs in mind, this range of fine brass furniture offers the aesthetics of traditional hand-crafted products with a high level of technical detail and manufacturing. Fulton & Bray products are fashioned using a superior forging process, which sees a tremendous exert of pressure used on heated pure brass to ensure the resultant products are free from any imperfections. These are then hand polished before receiving a high temperature lacquered coating.

Undoubtedly, Zoo Hardware understands its customers’ reliance on quality and delivery for their success and ensures it never disappoints. In fact, customers are constantly looking to Zoo Hardware’s design and sales teams for future hardware products, in order to keep themselves and their customers happy.
