Caravans, Park Homes and Luxury Lodges

In this issue of Building & Construction Review, we are delighted to select Park Realty Group for our New Year Spotlight Award 2024.

Park Realty Group was established in January 2021 by owner, Janine Dove and provides both practical and luxury homes, lovingly built with British craftmanship. The family-run business has its headquarters in Ferndown, Dorset, with a separate factory in Cardiff, Wales.

Park Realty Group offers a wide portfolio of homes through to high-end, state-of-the-art designs incorporating built on decks with frameless glass conservatories.

“The difference between Park Realty Group and other manufacturers is that we offer a complete solutions package from design, manufacturing and delivery, through to targeted sales and marketing,” explains Janine.

“In our first year, our turnover was just short of £1 million, a year later it was 2.3 million and this year we are on target to reach £5 million.

But with the current economic downturn, it hasn’t all been plain sailing. With regards to last year’s rising inflation rates, customers didn’t want to risk purchasing a second home, the market slumped and even well-established manufacturers went out of business. We decided to take a risk and start manufacturing caravans, which of course meant adapting our factory and purchasing new manufacturing tools.

We are not afraid to take risks and diversification is good for keeping everyone on their toes. We carried out meticulous R&D throughout and managed to keep all of our staff on the payroll and now with the latest Bank of England forecasts predicting an-earlier-than-expected fall in inflation rates, consumer confidence is bouncing back. Luckily, we have lots of repeat work through loyal customers and we’ve already accepted two large 65ft park projects this year and look forward to exhibiting at the World of Park & Leisure Homes at Stoneleigh in the Summer and Farm Business Innovation Show in the Autumn.”

Janine admits that she is driven by an innate passion for design and architecture and is currently the only UK female operator in the business. Her long-term vision is for more net-zero eco-packages but instead of being offered as an optional upgrade as is currently the case, the hope is that it is integrated into the design from the offset.

“In the domestic building trade, solar panels and ground source heat pumps are seamlessly integrated into new builds. We need to see more of this across the residential park home and holiday home manufacturing sector. We currently exclusively offer solar panels, SMART home packages including infrared heating and EV chargers as optional extras. Eco-packages are available on all homes and buildings and we look forward to helping the industry move towards embracing net-zero certification.”

“We also work with farmers and private landowners interested in diversifying into the leisure industry with private lodges.”

Farming diversification has helped beleaguered farmers increase extra revenue across the Agri-industry, as growing demand for luxury staycations has remained post-Covid. Many families are now opting to stay in private lodges in tranquil settings, rather than holiday parks and farming land often offers unspoilt, panoramic views of forests, lakes and mountain areas.

With an expert in-house siting team, design and manufacturing department and dedicated aftersales team, the company offers customised integrated solutions to farmers, park owners and private landowners throughout the UK. Every bespoke home supplied for commercial use comes with free professional photos and a Matterport virtual tour.

State-of-the-art drone services and professional videography for marketing services are also available through Park Realty Group’s subsidiary company: Orb 3D, which is co-owned and independently operated by Janine’s son George, who joined forces with Janine from the beginning.

George and his expert team provide digital marketing services including photography, videography, drone services, virtual tour CGI, website design and hosting, for clients from across a range of industries including: construction, development and estate agencies.

With high-profile clientele including high-end properties in Sandbanks, luxury villas in Spain, a 30,000 sq. ft. commercial premises on Regent Street, a luxury private jet in Jersey and two universities, Orb 3D has quickly built up a market-leading reputation for professionalism and expertise.

All homes manufactured by Park Realty Group are issued with a 10-year Platinum Seal warranty giving assurance for longevity. Homes are built to building regulations or BS3632 and all park and leisure homes have fully insulated floors, walls and roofs and are built on solid steel chassis. The Timber framed homes come with double glazed windows and either gas central heating, hot and cold air-conditioning or eco-friendly heat pump installations.

Available as fully furnished or unfurnished, customers can have their park home or luxury lodge designed and decorated to bespoke specifications, therefore creating the perfect luxury home. The team at Park Realty Group work with clients collaboratively to interpret their ideas of their dream home and design the layout, interiors and exteriors. With all bespoke builds they create a floor plan, specification and CGI images of the home to demonstrate the visual impact to their customers.
