Amvic ICF

Amvic ICF is an Irish-owned company founded by Pat Martin and George Richardson, built on a straightforward ambition: to make Insulated Concrete Formwork a dependable, mainstream way of building. From the beginning, the focus has been on practical delivery rather than theory — systems that work on site, scale reliably and stand the test of time.

What began with early adoption in the Irish housing market has grown into a manufacturing and technical partner supporting everything from individual homes to large residential schemes, commercial buildings and public projects. That growth has been steady and grounded in experience, shaped by what works in real construction environments.

Amvic operates where Modern Methods of Construction move from concept into delivery. Through the manufacture and supply of ICF, we help projects achieve predictable performance, repeatable site processes and confidence in long-term outcomes. This is not about replacing good building practice, but strengthening it with a system that brings structure, insulation and airtightness together in one build process.

Our involvement in the MMC Ireland National Conference reflects a long-standing commitment to modern construction across Ireland and the UK. We engage as delivery partners as much as manufacturers, sharing lessons learned from decades of supplying, supporting and refining ICF systems across live projects.

Today, we manufacture locally from our production facilities in Dublin and Longford, supplying nationwide with short lead times. Every Amvic block is produced under strict quality control, tested and certified to ensure consistency, compliance and long-term performance. With an annual manufacturing capacity exceeding 520,000 m² of ICF, we can support projects of all sizes and deliver within 48 hours when required.

Local production matters. It shortens supply chains, reduces transport emissions and brings certainty to programmes at a time when material delays can quickly disrupt delivery.

Support does not stop at supply. We work alongside project teams from early design through to site delivery, providing technical guidance, detailing support, sequencing advice and practical build assistance. The aim is always the same: to make delivery smoother and outcomes more predictable.

ICF construction using the Amvic system delivers clear, measurable benefits: lower embodied carbon compared to traditional methods; reduced operational energy demand over the life of the building; long-term durability that limits maintenance and rebuild cycles; fully recyclable EPS components; and cleaner, more efficient sites with less waste. Together, these advantages support more sustainable buildings without adding unnecessary complexity.

The future of construction will be shaped by methods that are faster to deliver, easier to regulate, more energy efficient, safer to build and better for the environment. At Amvic, our role is to make those outcomes achievable on site, every day.
